Logistical information

Mark has updated me with some technical information regarding our trip so far...since leaving home on June 14th, this is our 24th day on the boat. We have traveled on 17 of those days and have covered 540 nautical miles (that's 620 miles for those of you who drive cars). We have gone through or under 47 swing or lift bridges, have been lifted and lowered by 2 hydraulic lift locks and passed through 57 conventional locks (3 more to go :)). We will be looking forward to doing the marine railway at Big Chute, but more on that after we do it. Below is the plotter track of Captains Choice so far. The "little boat" in the upper left corner on the chart sits in Orillia, Ontario, where we are right now.
The magenta and black dotted line is the path we
have taken so far.

  1. That's really cool! Looking forward to pictures at big chute! Need to invent a teleportation device so I can meet you in Georgian bay....
