Well, technically we weren't stuck in the lock... as we could back out. We entered the Couchiching Lock #42 and they started to close the doors when the power went out. We were in the lock with a corporately owned SeaRay 410 Sundancer that was covered with sponsorship graphics. We learned quite a bit about Georgian Bay as the captain is from the area and was heading for a power boat rendezvous in Parry Sound. At first we were told it would be about 4 hours before they could restore the power, then they changed it to 8 hours. We got lucky, it was restored in 4. (We did find out there had been an accident on the highway and the power from Couchiching to Sparrow Lake was out). This allowed us to take some pictures of our boat sitting in the lock.

We ended our day at Swift Rapids Lock. The lock has a beautiful park setting and we enjoyed a spectacular sunset.
