Inching our way back - Cleveland

Tuesday morning we waited out the rain and then headed to Cleveland. We thought we could make it without getting wet, but 4 miles out it down poured. Luckily for us it stopped in time to dock the boat. The marina is great - located right outside the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Science Center and First Energy Stadium, only one other boat here besides Pilot Lounge and us.

We've had a great time in Cleveland, another hot day on Wednesday so we took Pilot Lounge to the beach and hung out in the water. Wednesday night some old dock neighbors that had moved to the outskirts of Cleveland came and joined us for dinner. Thursday we spent the day at the Cleveland Science Center and toured the William G. Mather lake freighter. The ship last sailed in 1980 and was taken out of service due to the fact it had 29 crews members and is only 631 feet long. The newer ships are 1,000 feet and are self unloading. Chuck and Mark could have spent all day in the engine room.
Tonight the Buffalo Bills are playing a preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. Several boats came into the marina with Browns fans, as the stadium is a short walk from here. Go Bills! Bills won 11-10. 
Weather permitting, tomorrow it's on to Geneva on the Lake, Ohio as we slowly inch our way back to Buffalo.
