High heat warnings

We have gone from high wind warnings to high heat warnings to high wind and high heat warnings. We left Little Current and headed for the Benjamin Islands. If you've never been to the North Channel the Benjamin's are a must see. This is a very popular anchorage as each night we were there (we stayed 2), there were 45+ boats. Mark climbed to the granite peak and got some great pictures of the bay. We climbed the massive smooth bald rocks, the views were fantastic and the blueberry bushes were everywhere. Unfortunately, they just haven't had the rain in this area and again the blueberries were tiny. They had good flavor but you had to eat a handful to appreciate them.
The temperatures were forecasted in the 90's and we think it was darn close. We spent a lot of time in the water. We did some exploring on our dinghies to Fox Island and Croker Island with Knot Home, Al and Kaye.
Just before sunset a bunch of people in their dinghies convene on the rocks to watch the sunset. It was beautiful Monday night, too cloudy Tuesday night. I was able to see a beautiful sunrise Wednesday morning. We also met a few more people doing the loop, Sea Moss and Sea to See. I think we could have stayed here for days, but it was time to move on.

Our boat tied to shore, you can see how clear the water is. Those are rocks about 10 feet deep. The green speck on land is me, I let Mark climb to the top, I sat and enjoyed the view from the bottom.

Wednesday morning we left for Beardrop Harbour, the forecast was for rain and wind. We figured we could find a safe anchorage with protection here. There were only a few other boats here, which surprised us as it is a pretty anchorage. Wednesday afternoon we took a dinghy ride to explore the area but the winds were getting stronger and we were getting wet so we went back to the boat. Thursday found the winds even stronger, so the other 5 boats along with us, stayed here to ride the weather out. It gave us time to read, sketch (added to the sketch post) and get a few things done. Friday morning we got up early and headed to Blind River. The winds were predicted to get worse and we decided it was best to be at a marina.
