Saturday afternoon Chuck and Cheryl from Pilot Lounge arrived. Although we were staying at Middle Bass Island we decided to take the ferry over to Put-In-Bay so they could experience the nightlife on the weekend. To say that Put in Bay is a "party town" is an understatement. We walked the docks and were amazed at how they fit all the boats into the spaces they were in. They had them rafted everywhich way, not sure they could have fit many more in.
Sunday morning we moved over to Park Place Marina on Put-In-Bay. Just after we tied up Ed and Sue Fay arrived by ferry - perfect timing. It was fun to watch the boats leaving after a weekend of partying, it was a calm day but the boat traffic really kicked up the waves. It was a hot, hot day so once the Fays checked into their hotel we took advantage of the pool and hot tub until it was time to get ready for dinner.
Monday we rented a golf cart (the preferred method of getting around the island). We had a great day exploring the island which included going to the top of the Perry Monument, wine tasting, shopping and eating (especially liked the Chocolate Cafe). Most of the bars had live music and we had decided to see Mustang Sally at the Beer Barrel. We had seen them before and they were excellent. Playing mostly requests for 2 1/2 hours before taking their first break. Next stop - Cleveland.
Saturday night, boats rafted 4-5 deep.
